 The Castlemaine Artists’ Market is situated in the brickyard garden of the historic Theatre Royal in the heart of Castlemaine.
It is a vibrant and exciting event in the hub of town where artists and designers can showcase their work.
The Market is held on the 1st Sunday of the month (September – June, closed January), 10.00 – 4.00 pm.
The Market aims to provide a vibrant and welcoming space for local and regional designers and artists to show and sell their work.
Run by a committee of local artists in partnership with The Theatre Royal, it is based on a strong commitment to:
· Things that are individually handmade;
· Objects of beauty or artistic intent, made with skill and care;
· Sustainable art and design practice where re-using and recycling are a common ingredient; and
· Building and supporting a vibrant local economy and community that nurtures and promotes things locally designed and made.
